Top Death Metal.

I should've made one of these lists a while ago.


1. Bolt Thrower- Those Once Loyal. This album is fucking amazing from start to finish, I pretty much love every song off it, this has to have some of the catchiest riffs i've ever heard (i.e. Granite wall, the Killchain, At First Light etc) Bolt Thrower just do not know how to make a bad album.

2. Autopsy- Mental Funeral. Death metal classic, it's as simple as that. Curse my limited vocabulary.

3. Runemagick- The Supreme Force Of Eternity. I was recommended this album not too long ago, and I can't believe how underrated it is, "heavy" would probably be an understament to describe the music properly, just listen to the track *the supreme force* and you'll know why.

4. Gorguts-Considered Dead. I love this more than both Obscura and The Erosion of Sanity, it contains some of the sickest riffs in death metal, I overlooked this album for far too long.

5. Dismember- Like An Ever Flowing Stream. It's Dismember, 'nuff said, although I do feel the need to add Dismembered being one of the best dm songs made.

6. Ripping Corpse- Dreaming With The Dead. I should've listened to DWTD a lot sooner, what a damn fine album.

7. Asphyx- Death...The Brutal Way. One of the best of metal in '09 and maybe even the best.

8. Carcass- Necroticism: Descanting the Insalubrious. From what I've heard of Carcass, this is by far the best.

9. Entombed- Left Hnd Path. How could one not love that guitar tone?

10. Demilich- Nespithe. Yeah, I was one of those people who whined about the vocals but I'm just indifferent to them now.
